some case studies
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution - NASA
A team of WHOI (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution) researchers and colleagues use a decision-making robot to explore Kolumbo volcano—an ancient submarine volcano sitting 500 meters below the surface off Greece’s Santorini Island in the Aegean Sea. The ôlyvon team was on board to document the expedition on behalf of WHOI and NASA.
CLAIM
(Cleaning Litter by developing and Applying Innovative Methods) is a European project across 15 countries, involving 19 partners and 6 SMEs. They are developing technologies able to reduce the amount and impact of plastic pollution on the ecosystem-based services off the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas.
ôlyvon has partnered with the CLAIM scientists to document this significant scientific journey to combat plastic pollution in our seas across 15 countries over 4 years.
Safe Water Sports
ôlyvon partnered with Safe Water Sports to produce, film and create the videos for the SWS video campaign in social media, TV and cinemas. The campaign achieved over 800,000+ views on social media with over 4,000 likes in just 2 months. We work with organisations around the world to help showcase the work that they do by transforming even the most complex information into creative and meaningful narratives.
Explore Nautilus
The marine scientists’ research team and crew of Nautilus, divers and filmmakers of ôlyvon, have sailed across the seas in order to explore the marine ecosystem. Nautilus took 3 years in the making with over 80 sailing days in the seas of the South-East Mediterranean and the Black Sea. More than 50 researchers from the Institute of Oceanography and the Institute of Marine Biological Resources of HCMR (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research) have participated in Nautilus missions.
Novo Nordisk
People have the extraordinary and inspiring power to do good. When they do, it transforms their business. We can help you tell the world about it. See how Novo Nordisk supported Gurkan, a mountain runner to overcome diabetes and make his dream come true, completing the Olympus Marathon, a 44km marathon up on Mount Olympus. The athletes reach up to 2800m starting from almost zero altitudes at the starting point.
